...so the 'Boys emerged from last Sunday night with a win in their pocket, a kiss-your-sister win against the 'Skins that helps keep those fans in check every time I bump into them. I need a win against the Giants to keep my brother-in-law from getting too confident, and teach my son that the 'Boys are our football team (the kid likes the dark blue NY helmets, go figure).
Of course, Romo coming back did bring the team out of its self-imposed funk. There's no excuse for backups not being able to manage an offense and at least run the ball with some quick out passing plays. Even if you take the long ball off the table as a meaningful threat, you should still have enough team left to get it done 2/3rds of the time, if you're any good. I think most of this team's difficulty lie in its mental game. there's no question they have talent, but they truly lack cohension and self-confidence.
